Don't You Dare Pop My Fried Tortilla Bubble
So to catch everyone up on the last few days...
Wednesday I had a rant, but I de-ranted by writing and I may post later.
Thursday- Great day... or so I thought. After an INTENSE workout- I headed to the local Jamba Juice for some fuel before practice- simple, easy until.... DUN DUN DUN- I was targeted by Brian's croonies. I am cruisin down Arap jammin out to some Jason Aldean, windows down, wind blowing through my hair- sounds great, eh?! Well the whole way this copper is cruising ahead of me in the lane to my left. At a light- I glance over at said coppers'- and quickly UN-LOOK because the passenger cop is a friend of Brians. Welp, low and behold he slows up, whips over behind me, gets on his radio and WHAM the lights come on.... At this point I am just GRINNING (probably not the best choice)- because well I know in my head this is ridiculous, because they had NOT been behind me the WHOLE way and traffic was heavy enough that I KNEW I was not speeding. So I do the diplomatic "pull-over" and just hang out waiting for Deputy B.Wood to stroll up. This story could really go on and on- but if you really desire the extended version, then come talk to me and I will hook it up! Needless to say he "pulled" me over for having a brake light out- FIRST OF ALL, how would I know that I have a brake light out unless I play the phone book on the brake game and run around my car- I mean SERIOUSLY! So anyways, I just look at him thinking really, really, REALLY. So homeboy WRITES me a ticket, not just a ticket, but a TWO, yes read that 2 point ticket along with a LOVELY $75.00 fine... I have NO tickets on my record, nothing to tarnish it, and I didn't even get a WARNING... I was so so so very upset. They could have given me a warning and a verbal reprimand and told me to fix it in 24hrs, but since it was funner to mess with Johnsons' ex- then I got a ticket... NEEDLESS to say I will be fighting it :)
Today I was committed to making a better day after the past evenings' debacle- Started off with a fun time of decorating cookies with Amanda T and Tavin- pic to follow. Then we set Cory to the task of figuring out why my brake lights and turn signals had failed me at the worst possible moment. Well- after Cory pain-stakingly tore apart my dash, it was determined we were going to get a new fuse thingy bobby. So off to the auto parts store he headed. Came back, part didn't make a difference. At this point the garage has turned into a mecca of men- all just standing, staring and pondering the meaning of brake life :) I also realized that by this time the steering column is now exposed, all my gauges were sitting on a table and well... my car looked like it had been masacred at the fate of Cory's screwdriver. Well, we quickly learned that if we pushed in my hazard lights, that then, just then my turn signals would work. So we thought we would call the dealership and find out how much it would cost this poor, little, unemployed, sweet girl to get a new steering column thing- $522.17. Well, at this point I determined that I would learn to use the universal arm signals of RIGHT, LEFT and STOP, because $500+ wasn't happening. So, turn signal problem solved- but we still needed to figure out the brake lights thing- since my ONE brake light was NOT going to cut it for the Arap County Sheriff Deputy, bless his donut eating, artery clogged heart :) So, Cory and Josh, those little innovative thinkers decided to rewire the one working light and connect it to the other 2- HALLELUJAH- it worked, but ironicly it made the light they wired from NOT work- HA- oh well, it might be a bit Redneck, but by-golly it works now!
Amanda and I made home-made tortilla chips, everyone needs to stand out on their back porch using a fry-daddy- YEAH! I have mastered the "easy" level of rockband and will be looking forward to some new adventures tomorrow!
Hope you enjoy this randomly long, ranty blog... :)
